3rd Anniversary

I had intended on posting this earlier today, but due to some technical difficulties with my slideshow - it’s a little later than anticipated… oops!

Man, 3 years went by F.A.S.T.! You know what they say about time flying when you are having fun… 🙂 I am so so very blessed. These past 3 years have been as easy as pie.

People always said, “The first year of marriage is the hardest… if you can make it through you will be just fine.” I have to say, I don’t agree with that statement in the LEAST. Marriage thus far has been easy.

I’m not saying that I havn’t gotten on Mike’s nerves or he hasn’t gotten on mine, or that we haven’t argued over stupid things - because trust me we have!  A great marriage takes work and a lot of compromise, and I am so so thankful to have a husband who is willing to do both those things with me. A lot of couples have one person working harder at it than the other (or one not working at it at all), and I am so grateful that’s not the case for us!

We showed a slideshow at the very beginning of our ceremony (it was a good way to let any stragglers have a chance to grab their seats before the processional)…  I used the song that goes, “When God made you, He must have been thinking about me.”  I think of that ALL the time.  I know that God made Mike just for me.  It’s sound corny but it’s so very true.  From the way He brought us together down to how we are the perfect complement to eachother.  Mike’s strengths are my weaknesses and vice versa.

When life throws us curve balls (and trust me, it has - even in 3 short years), I know that I have someone beside me to pray with and walk through the hard times with, and then to rejoice in the good times.

Honey, I love you.  These past 3 years have been amazing and I am looking forward to AT LEAST 60 more! 🙂

For those of you wanting to see a few wedding details…

One of my favorite pics - we were both so emotional that day, and seeing my husband like this was so sweet:

Hope you enjoyed the little peak into our special day! I had a fabulous dinner with the hubs tonight at Capital Grille (More on that one tomorrow)! One word: PHENOMENAL.

    Hi Tina,
I stumbled upon your blog tonight looking for recipes.
I started to read up on your story and now I HAVE to comment because “when God made you” is OUR song!! I played it for my husband when we were still dating. Been married 6 years now, but its still so special to us. Just had to share!!! Great seeing the Lord’s sovereignty in your life 🙂
